Command Centre Set Up to Monitor Law and Order: CA Press Secy

"The 'Operation Devil Hunt' began yesterday, and to streamline the coordination among law enforcement agencies, the command centre commenced its operations at 6 pm today," Alam shared during the press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy.

Alam explained that personnel from various law enforcement agencies, along with representatives from the armed forces, will be stationed at the command centre to oversee operations.

"We are optimistic that the establishment of this command centre will lead to improved law and order, enabling a swift response to emerging threats," he added.

The initiative follows a directive from Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on February 3, when he called for the creation of a centralised command centre to monitor the country’s security situation. This directive was issued after a comprehensive review of the national law and order situation in a high-level meeting with the chiefs of law enforcement agencies.

"We must establish a command centre, or headquarters, that will effectively coordinate with police and all security agencies across the country," said Prof Yunus. He emphasized that the new structure would ensure efficient communication with police stations and security agencies, both at the national and local levels, ensuring a more responsive and coordinated approach to maintaining law and order.
