Dhaka, 10 Feb - BNP has announced an extensive rally programme across 64 districts from 12th February to 25th February, demanding effective measures to keep the prices of essential commodities at a tolerable level, improve the worsening law-and-order situation and the quick announcement of an electoral roadmap.
The rallies, taking place over eight days, will also aim to counter various conspiracies of deposed fascist forces, said a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, on Monday.
The party also announced the schedule for the rallies and disclosed the names of senior party leaders who will be present as the chief guests at the events.
On February 12, BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy will address a rally in Lalmonirhat district while Standing Committee members Nazrul Islam Khan in Sirajganj, Salahuddin Ahmed in Feni, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed in Khulna, Vice Chairmen Barkatullah Bulu in Brahmanbaria, Asaduzzaman Ripon in Rajbari, Chairperson's Advisory Council members Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal in Patuakhali, Ariful Haque Chowdhury in Sunamganj and Joint Secretary General Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel in Jamalpur.
On February 17, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address a rally in Jashore, while Standing Committee Members Abdul Moyeen Khan in Tangail, Selima Rahman in Madaripur, Vice-Chairmen Abdul Awal Mintoo in Chandpur, Shamsuzzaman Dudu in Thakurgaon, Chairperson's Advisory Council members Abdus Salam in Bogura, Ariful Haque Chowdhury in Moulvibazar, Zahir Uddin Swapan in Bhola and Joint Secretary General Syed Imran Saleh Prince in Netrokona.
On February 18, BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas will be present as the chief guest at a rally in Manikganj, while standing committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku in Pabna, Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu in Panchagarh, Chairperson’s advisory council members Zainul Abedin Farroque in Cumilla South, Abul Khair Bhuiyan in Jhenaidah, Joint Secretaries General Shaheeduddin Chowdhury Anee in Habiganj and Syed Emran Saleh Prince in Sayedpur.
On February 19, BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will address a rally in Noakhali while Vice-Chairman Asaduzzaman Ripon in Rajbari, Chairperson’s Advisory Council Members Mizanur Rahman Minu in Kushtia , Fazlur Rahman in Kishoreganj, Mujibur Rahman Sarwar in Pirojpur, Sayed Moazzem Hossain Alal in Sylhet and Mohammad Zahurul Haque Shahazada Mia in Jamalpur.
On February 20, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address a rally in Dhaka while Standing Committee members Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in Laxmipur, Selima Rahman in Barisal South, Vice-Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu in Mymensingh South, Asaduzzaman Ripon in Faridpur, Chairperson's Advisory Council member Amanullah Aman in Chuadanga, Mizanur Rahman Minu in Naogaon and Abdus Salam in Kurigram.
On February 22, BNP Vice-Chairman Zainul Abedin will be present at a rally as the chief guest in Jhalokathi while Vice-Chairmen Ahmed Azam Khan in Chittagong South, Asaduzzaman Ripon in Gopalganj, , BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council members Abul Khair Bhuiyan in Rangpur, Fazlur Rahman in Mymensingh North, Harunur Rashid in Joypurhat and Mahbub Uddin Khokon in Cumilla North, Joint Secretaries General Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel in Bandarban and Abdus Salam Azad in Narsingdi.
On February 24, BNP Standing Committee Member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain will address a rally in Munshiganj, while standing committee member Hafiz Uddin Ahmed in Barisal North, Vice-Chairmen Nitai Roy Chowdhury in Narail, Ahmed Azam Khan in Natore, Chairperson’s Advisory Council members Fazlur Rahman in Rakshahi, Harunur Rashid in Gaibandha, Joint Secretaries General Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel in Rangamati and Abdus Salam Azad in Magura.
On February 25, BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas will be present as the chief guest in Narayanganj, while Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in Gazipur, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku in Chittagong North, Vice-Chairmen Barkat Ullah Bulu in Bagerhat, Nitai Roy Chowdhury in Satkhira, Chairperson’s Advisory Council members Monirul Haque Chowdhury in Khagrachhari, Amanullah Aman in Meherpur, Zainul Abedin Farroque in Nilphamari and Abdus Salam in Chapainawabganj.
Besides, Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal will arrange a farmers’ rally near Arichaghat in Manikganj district on February 23. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will address the programme virtually as the chief guest.
