In a late-night protest, a group of Dhaka University (DU) students rallied on campus, calling for the immediate resignation of Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury due to a rise in criminal activities nationwide.

The protest began at 1:30 am on Monday, with students from various halls gathering at Hallpara before marching toward the Raju Sculpture. They chanted slogans such as “One demand, one goal – Jahangir must resign” and “My brother was killed on the streets – what is the administration doing?”

The students issued an ultimatum, demanding that the Home Advisor step down by 1 pm on Tuesday. They expressed anger over the increasing incidents of murders, robberies, and sexual violence across the country, holding the Home Advisor responsible for failing to ensure public safety.
