A Dhaka court has ordered the freezing of 124 bank accounts linked to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, sister Sheikh Rehana, and associates.

The court also ordered the attachment of immovable properties belonging to Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Saima Wazed Putul, Sheikh Rehana, and their family members, including a flat in Gulshan owned by Tulip, Sudha Sadan house in Dhanmondi, Rehana’s plot in Kaliakoir, and several properties owned by Radwan Mujib Siddiq in Gulshan and Mohakhali.

The order, passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib, followed a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

ACC Deputy Director Akterul Islam confirmed that the family was attempting to transfer both movable and immovable properties, which could hinder ongoing investigations, prompting the court to take preventive measures.
