Women's Reform Commission Submits Report to CA Yunus

The Women's Affairs Reform Commission formally submitted its final report to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna today.

The commission, formed to evaluate and recommend necessary reforms in women's development and welfare sectors, presented its findings and proposals during a scheduled meeting with the Chief Adviser. Senior members of the commission were present during the handover of the report.

Chief Adviser Professor Yunus appreciated the efforts of the commission and acknowledged the significance of its recommendations, stating that women's empowerment and gender equality remain top priorities for the interim administration. He assured the commission that the recommendations would be reviewed with due importance and integrated into future policy initiatives wherever feasible.

The report is said to contain a comprehensive set of suggestions related to legal reforms, policy changes, and institutional improvements aimed at enhancing the status of women across the country. It also highlights issues such as gender-based violence, women's education, employment opportunities, and representation in governance.

The commission thanked the government for its support and expressed hope that the recommendations would pave the way for long-term and sustainable improvements in the lives of women and girls.
