After an eight-month hiatus from political street activities in Khulna, Awami League activists brought out a surprise procession in the city early Sunday morning.

The rally, held under the banner of the Bangladesh Awami League Khulna District Unit, began around 7:30am at Zero Point, within the jurisdiction of Horintana Police Station under Khulna Metropolitan Police.

Eyewitnesses said more than a hundred activists joined the sudden procession, which caught many locals off guard. A video clip of the event went viral on social media shortly after, drawing attention to the party’s renewed presence on the streets.

This marks the first such public demonstration in Khulna by the ruling party since its departure from office.
