On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman extended heartfelt Eid greetings and support to the families of individuals martyred and disappeared during political movements, including the July 2024 uprising.

On his behalf, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday visited the residence of Kamal, a rickshaw-puller who was killed during the July uprising, and met with his bereaved family. Rizvi conveyed Tarique Rahman's condolences and provided financial assistance to Kamal’s widow as part of the Eid support.

Later, Rizvi visited the family of Saikat, a brilliant student who lost his life on July 19, 2024, during a demonstration in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. He presented Eid gifts and reiterated the party’s continued solidarity with families affected by political violence.

Rizvi also met the family of Kawsar, a leader of Swechchhasebak Dal, who went missing on December 4, 2013, in Nakhalpara, Dhaka. The visit underscored BNP’s ongoing concern for victims of enforced disappearance.

Several BNP and affiliated organization leaders accompanied Rizvi during the visits, including BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Engineer Iqbalur Rahman Rokon, DAB leader Dr. Shariful Islam, Dr. Lohani Tajul Islam, and Chhatra Dal Vice-President Touhidur Rahman Awal.

The visits and Eid gift distribution reflect BNP’s continued engagement with the families of political victims and its commitment to honoring their sacrifices.
