‘Historic July Charter’ signed

The Historic July Charter was officially signed on Friday afternoon at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.


Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and Vice President of the National Consensus Commission Professor Ali Riaz signed the charter, joined by several other political leaders.

Among the attendees were BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Mia Golam Parwar and Zonayed Saki, Chief Coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolon.

Earlier, the much-hyped event began with the singing of the national anthem.

The proceedings are being conducted by Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Monir Haider, reports UNB.
