
NCC holds review meeting with experts on Saturday on July Charter implementation. UNB
Dhaka, Oct 25 — The National Consensus Commission (NCC) on Saturday held a review meeting with experts to discuss recommendations and strategies for implementing the July National Charter 2025.
The meeting, held at the Commission’s office in the National Parliament complex, was attended by Retired Justice MA Matin of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Professor Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Dhaka University, Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Barrister Imran Siddique, and Barrister Tanim Hossain Shawon.
According to a press release, the participants discussed expert opinions and advice on the proposed implementation framework. Saturday’s session continued from an earlier discussion held the previous day.
The Commission expressed hope that a comprehensive and specific set of recommendations for implementing the July National Charter 2025 would be finalized and submitted to the government soon.
NCC Vice-Chairman Prof Ali Riaz and members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, and Dr. Mohammad Ayub Mia took part in the discussions on behalf of the Commission.
Monir Haider, special assistant to the Chief Adviser involved in the national consensus-building process, was also present at the meeting. - UNB
