BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has said Awami League is now using the looted money to unleash a reign of terror in the country.

“The looted money from Bangladesh Bank, Padma Bridge and Flyovers are now in the hands of Awami League and now they are unleashing a reign of terror in the country with the money. Even Sheikh Hasina is sending video messages to create terrorism,” he said.

The BNP leader made the remarks while speaking as chief guest at a discussion meeting to mark the 50 years of National Revolution and Solidarity Day at TSCC Auditorium at Rajshahi University (RU) here this afternoon.

Rizvi said the BNP is the champion political party of democracy. Democracy and BNP is the integral part, he said, adding that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman introduced multi-party democracy in the country and Tarique Rahman is working to restore people’s voting right.

Rizvi also said, “We get inspiration from 7th November. Basically, freedom and sovereignty of Bangladesh were reflected on November 7.”

Former RUCSU VP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said November 7 is not just a date in the calendar but a symbol of national unity and democratic consciousness.

"On this day, under the leadership of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, democratic forces opened a new chapter in the nation's history," he said, adding that the BNP is committed to passing on Ziaur Rahman's ideals to the new generation.

General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhtra Dal Nasir Uddin addressed the meeting as focal person, reports BSS.

A large number of RU teachers, students, officers and employees were present at the meeting.
