Mosharraf to implement Kuakata sustainable dev action plan

Patuakhali: Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, the training affairs secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee, has sought cooperation from journalists to work as a team for the sustainable development of Kalapara-Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali, including Kuakata, a world-class tourist center, Payra sea port. On Saturday morning, at a Meet the Press event organized by the social organization Team 91 at the Press Club's Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman auditorium with local media workers, he called on political and social forces to unite in implementing his sustainable development action plan.

In his speech as the chief guest, chaired by Team 91's Mushfiqur Rahman Litu Biswas and moderated by Monirul Islam Masud, ABM Mosharraf said, 'Journalists have a lot to play in making Kalapara-Kuakata an important town. The problems and potential of this township have been highlighted by journalists in the media, which has led to unprecedented development in this township. However, despite spending Tk 16,000 crore, the activities of Payra Port have not yet been activated. In addition, the problems created by the mega development project in this township have not yet been resolved. I always want you to be by my side to solve these problems. With your cooperation, a proposal has been made to pave 26 roads during this interim government, which if implemented will improve road connectivity. If I am elected as MP from this seat with the symbol of a paddy sheaf with your support, I will work to combat the adverse effects of climate change, develop the infrastructure of Kalapara, and improve the fate of the people of this township focusing on Payra Port and Kuakata.'
