Payra Thermal Power Plant Production Resumes After Two Months

Patuakhali: After almost two months, the second unit of the Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant in Kalapara, Patuakhali, has resumed power generation. The authorities started power generation of this unit at around 9:30 pm on Monday after completing maintenance work. The matter was confirmed by Assistant Manager (Investigation) of Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant Shah Moni Jico.

Earlier, on November 9 last year, the power generation activities of the second unit were stopped for maintenance. Currently, the authorities are supplying the entire 1320 MW electricity from the two units of this power plant to the national grid. - Gofran Palash
