Light to moderate rain likely

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over three divisions and at one or two places over of other three divisions of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin this morning.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am today," said the bulletin.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

However, night temperature may rise by (1-2)°C and day temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 34.7 degrees Celsius at Feni, and today's minimum temperature 14.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

However, no rainfall was traced anywhere across the country in the last 24 hours till 6am today.

The sun sets at 05:13 pm today and rises at 06:14 am tomorrow in the capital, reports BSS.
