Rain likely in Dhaka, 4 other divisions in 24 hours: BMD

Dhaka, March 31: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in five divisions, including Dhaka, over 24 hours starting from 6 pm on Saturday.

"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one

or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," it said.

The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,  reads the bulletin.

Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.

The country’s highest temperature was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius on Friday in Chuadanga.

Meanwhile, a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay. - UNB
