Rain, thunderstorms, likely across 8 divisions: BMD

Dhaka, Aug 02 - Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, according to BMD latest weather bulletin on Friday.

The forecast warned of temporary gusty or squally winds accompanying the rain, creating potentially hazardous conditions in these areas.

Additionally, some regions may experience moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall, which could lead to flooding and disruptions, it said.

Despite the unsettled weather, temperatures are expected to remain stable, with both day and night temperatures likely to stay nearly unchanged across the country, added the Met Office bulletin.-UNB
