BMD forecasts light to moderate rain across the country

Met Office predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers in 24 hrs



  • Dhaka, Aug 08 - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers across the country over 24 hours commencing 10 am on Thursday.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said a Met office bulletin.

Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country, it added.

Country’s highest 39mm rainfall was recorded in Ramgati in 24 hours till 6am Thursday.-UNB
