Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Dear Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for your recent affirmation regarding the importance of human rights and the rule of law in Bangladesh. Your clear stance against violations of human rights and your directive to law enforcement agencies serve as a crucial reminder of the principles that underpin our democratic society.

In today's world, where instances of authoritarianism and disregard for human rights have become increasingly prevalent, your strong leadership is both commendable and necessary. By proclaiming that violations of human rights will not be tolerated under any circumstances, you have reaffirmed the commitment to uphold justice, dignity, and equality for every citizen in Bangladesh. This is a powerful message that will undoubtedly resonate within our communities and beyond.

Furthermore, the directive from the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police SM Sazzat Ali to maintain law and order with minimal use of force reflects a progressive approach to policing and governance. Such a strategy not only seeks to prevent conflict but also prioritizes the protection of the rights and freedoms of individuals. It highlights the importance of maintaining peace while respecting the fundamental rights of all citizens, which is essential for fostering trust and cooperation between the public and law enforcement agencies.

Your leadership in promoting these crucial tenets of governance is inspiring and marks a significant step toward a more just society. I am confident that with continued vigilance and commitment, we can work towards creating an environment where human rights are respected and upheld at all levels of society.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication to these ideals. I join many others in expressing support for your efforts and hope for continued progress in human rights and law enforcement in Bangladesh.

Sincerely,

Md. Azizul Huq
