More 506 Rohingya refugees relocated in Bhasan Char

More 506 Rohingya refugees were relocated to Bhasan Char in Noakhali district today from different refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.


This is the 25th relocation of Rohingya refugees at Bhasan Char Island in Hatiya.

Earlier, 406 Rohingya refugees who fled from Bhasan Char were shifted there
again today by the 'Go and See' programme. All the 912 Rohingya men left Patenga at about 7:45 am boarding three vessels and reached Bhasan Char in Noakhali around 11 am, reports BSS.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhasan Char Police Station Abu Jafor confirmed.

The Rohingya began to move to the island in phases from Dec 4, 2020.
