Publication Award Ceremony held at SAU

The Research System of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAURES) arranged a grand ceremony to recognize excellence in research and publication of the Faculty Members on 30 June, 2026. The ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Latif and attended among others by SAU Pro–Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Belal Hossain, Treasurer Professor Muhammad Abul Bashar, and Dean of the Faculty of Post Graduate Studies Professor Dr. M. Salauddin Mahmud Chowdhury.

The program commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Professor A.T.M. Samsuddoha of the Department of Soil Science. Professor Dr. F. M. Aminuzzaman, Director of SAURES, delivered the welcome address while the program was conducted by Dr. Md. Akkach Ali, Senior Scientific Officer of SAURES.

A total of 29 faculty members submitted their research publications for the “SAURES Publication Award”. After verification and selection, five teachers were awarded the publication awards this year which include Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Masum, Professor Dr. Jamilur Rahman, Dr. Mohammad Shahjahan, Md. Haider Khan Sujon, and Dr. Md. Wadud Ahmed. Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Md Mahbubul Alam and Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Information System were also awarded for their research publications. It may be mentioned here that the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) has achieved the top position for research and publications in the country in the latest “Research.com ranking."

Faculty members, researchers, and senior officials from different university departments attended the event. While appreciating the SAU’s initiative to introduce ‘Publication Award’ speakers praised SAURES’s initiative for improving the quality of the university’s agriculture- and science-based research. They expressed optimism that such recognition will further encourage the university’s teachers and researchers to produce high-quality original research publications.
