BSEC Chairman Shibli Rubayat Resigns

Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul Islam, Chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), has resigned from his position.

Rubayat confirmed his resignation to the media on Saturday.
He returned to Dhaka on August 5 but had not attended his office since then. On August 10, he submitted his resignation letter to the finance ministry.
According to Abdur Rahman, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, Rubayat cited health reasons for his departure.
