Kachua Kalyan Sangha, Dhaka holds Iftar Mahfil

Kachua Kalyan Sangha Iftat Mahfil and discussion meeting held at DU Mokarram Hossain science building cafeteria on 29 March 2024.



An Iftar Mahfil of members of the Kachua Kalyan Sangha, Dhaka, a voluntary social welfare organization was held at the Dhaka University Mukarram Hossain Science Building cafeteria on Friday 29 March 2024 amid tremendous enthusiasm.

Senior retired and serving government officials, university teachers, senior doctors, engineers, journalists, businessmen and social workers took part in the Iftar Mahfil. Some members brought their family members and added attraction to the programme.

A discussion was held at the start of the programme with Kachua Kalyan Sangha president Ruhul Amin Chowdhury in the chair and general secretary Prof Md. Shah Amran presenting his report of activities of the organization during the past one year.

Leaders of the organisation told the members present of their plan to publish new editions of books on Kachua Upazila of Chandpur in the War of Liberation and the History and tradition of Kachua Upazila of Chandpur amid applause. 

Newly enrolled members of the organization were welcomed with flowers with its vice-president Dr. Tahmina Bhuiyan.

The programme was addressed by former secretary to the government Md. Ghulam Hussain, former editor of The New Nation, Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Additional secretary at the ministry of youth and sports, Mostafa Kamal Mazumder, Abu Hanifa Sarkar, Tarik Ullah, businessman Moslah Uddin Alamgir, Md. Abul Hasanat, Project Coordinator, FAO, Bangladesh, and businessman Rafiqul Islam Roni among others.- GreenWatch News Desk
