Meena Day to be observed t Saturday

Meena Day will be celebrated across the country Saturday.

 Meena Day will be celebrated across the country Saturday with the theme 'Quality education amid safe and pleasant environment'.

Like the previous year, the government has taken various programmes this year to celebrate the day at national level, an official handout said.

On the occasion, a discussion will be held at Primary Teachers' Training Institute (PTI), Dhaka. 

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen will join the discussion as the chief quest.

Other programmes include a meeting, Meena cartoon shows, cultural function, puppet shows, essay competition, painting competition and Meena fair.

The day will also be celebrated at district and upazila levels.
