JU to resume in-person classes from Tuesday

JU have decided to resume in-person classes from Tuesday maintaining health guidelines.



The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have decided to resume in-person classes from Tuesday maintaining health guidelines.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting chaired by JU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Farzana Islam on Saturday night.
A press release signed by acting director of JU Public Relations Office Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin confirmed the news.
In-person classes will begin on February 22 in accordance with the health rules (including the weekend programmes), according to the release.
The office schedule of the university will continue from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm as before. The University Library will be open from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm, the release added.
Earlier, on January21, JU authorities suspended in-person classes and examinations till February 06 amid a surge in Covid-19 cases across the country.
Later, the closure was extended to February 21.
