416 mobile towers still out of order in 11 flood-hit districts: BTRC

Bangladesh Army provides necessary assistance to mobile & tower operators



Dhaka, Aug 29 - A total of 416 mobile towers out of 14,551 in eleven flood affected district have remained out of order due to flood, according to the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The districts include Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Cumilla, Brahmanbaria, Chattogram, Khagrachhari, Habiganj, Moulvibazar, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet, said a BTRC press release.

Bangladesh Army has already provided all out necessary assistance including water vessels, trucks and speedboats to carry the equipment, fuel and generators to the mobile and tower operators.-UNB
