Federation Cup (ranking) Open TT begins

DHAKA - Sheikh Mujib birth centenary Germania Trest Consortium  Federation Cup (ranking) Open Table Tennis competition has begun today at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city, said a press release today.

Additional Director General of the Ansar and VDP Brig Gen Khandaker Farid Hasan formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest while Hamid Group managing director and Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation’s  secretary general Intekhabul Hamid and Germania corporation executive director Javed Siddique were present as the special guests in the opening ceremony.

Besides, Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation’s (BTTF) vice president Khondokar Hasan Munir, BTTF’s general secretary Sheikh Mohammad Jahangir Alom, Ansar and VDP’s director (sports) Sirajul Islam Bhuiyan and Ansar and VDP’s assistant director (sports) Raihan Uddin Fokir were also present on the occasion.

A total of twenty seven teams – twenty one of men’s and six of women’s – are competing in the singles and teamevent events of the four-day meet, organised by BTTF. BSS
