Bangladesh Davis Cup team to leave for Bahrain Monday
Dhaka, 20 Oct - Bangladesh Davis Cup team will leave here for Bahrain on Oct 23 to take part in the 2023 Davis Cup Asia/ Oceania Zone A group five competition scheduled to be held in Isa Town from October 25-28.
A total of 13 countries -- host Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Laos, Macaw, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Qatar, Tajikistan and Yemen -- will compete in the four-day meet, organized by Bahrain Tennis Federation under the approval of Int'l Tennis Federation.
The Bangladesh tennis team is expected to return home on October 29.
In this regard, a press conference was held today (Friday) at the conference room of Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) to provide all the details of the meet.
BTF's vice president Md. Motahar Hossain (Saju), its general secretary Abu Sayed Mohammad Haider, treasurer and Davis Cup team's captain Khaled Ahmed spoke in the press conference.
