Alexei Popyrin wins ATP Montreal Masters title

Montreal, 13 Aug - Australia's Alexei Popyrin defeated Russia's sixth-ranked Andrey Rublev 6-2, 6-4 on Monday to capture the ATP Montreal Masters title for his third career crown.

Popyrin, who will rise to a career-high 23rd in world rankings, dispatched Rublev in just under 90 minutes to add to a trophy haul that includes the 2021 Singapore Open and 2023 Croatia Open.
