BTTF executive member Mona passes away

DHAKA, Sept 7, 2024 (BSS)-Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of its long serving executive member Golam Faruk Mona, said a press release today (Saturday).

Mona passed away this morning at around 9.30 am at the age of 61. He left behind his wife and only daughter to mourn his death.  
The former table tennis player Mona was also the member of the Gaibandha District Sports Association and president of Gaibandha district Football Association.  

He himself was a table tennis player and after retiring as a player, he played major role of creating many new table tennis players. Mona also produced players and coaches who are currently in a long-term training camp in China.

The Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) expressed deep shock at the death of Mona and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

He will be buried at Gaibangha Pouro graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza after Isha prayer at Gaibandha graveyard Jame mosque.
