Bangladesh tennis team return home

Dhaka, 10 March - Bangladesh tennis team returned home from Malaysia after participating in the Junior Billie Jean King Cup, said a press release today.

The 2025 Junior Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition was held in Kuching, Malaysia, with the approval of the International Tennis Federation and under the management of the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia.

The competition featured under-16 girl players from the Philippines, Guam, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, Pacific Oceania, Maldives, Mongolia, Singapore, Lebanon, Brunei and Bangladesh.

In the group stage of the competition, Bangladesh team lost 0-3 to Singapore 0-3 and 1-2 to Lebanon 1-2. Bangladesh, however, secured third position in the group stage after beating Brunei 2-1.

Later, in the play-off match, Bangladesh defeated Mongolia 3-0 but lost to Pacific Oceania 1-2 to finish 10th out of 14 countries.BSS
