Bangladesh and Algeria have explored opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation, highlighting the complementary strengths of both countries, especially in energy, industry, and pharmaceuticals.

Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, recently met Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain in Istanbul to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The bilateral meeting took place following Attaf’s participation in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

According to Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting provided a platform to examine prospects for expanding economic relations between the two nations, building on their shared strengths in key sectors such as energy, industry, and pharmaceuticals.
