The ferry operation on Daulatdia-Paturia route has resumed after five hours of disruption, caused by dense fog.
The movement of the ferry became normal around 10:00 am on Thursday, said Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia Ghat Branch assistant manager Khorshed Alam.
Earlier, the ferry service on this route was suspended at 5:00 am due to poor visibility caused by the dense fog, he said.
Ferries got stuck in the middle of the river while vehicles were seen waiting on both sides to cross the river, causing immense suffering to the passengers amid the cold.
