The Agargaon-Motijheel section of Metro Rail Line 6, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday (November 4).
In a press conference, Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader revealed the information on Thursday noon (November 2).
After the inauguration, trains will start operating between Agargaon and Motijheel every 10 minutes from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, while the Uttara-Agargaon route will remain open from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm on Sunday (November 5). The metro rail will initially operate in the route for a total of four hours each day.
Earlier, on July 7, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the trial run of the train on the Agargaon-Motijheel section.
On December 28 of the previous year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first elevated metro rail in the capital city of Dhaka. Following that, the operation of the Uttara-Agargaon Metrorail was initiated, and all the stations in this section have already been commissioned.
