Dense fog disrupts Daulatdia-Paturia ferry services
Khorshed Alam, assistant manager, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Daulatdia point, confirmed the matter.
Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route have been suspended since early Sunday due to poor visibility owing to the dense fog.

He also said that the ferry services on this route was suspended at about 3.20 am to avoid accident due to poor visibility caused by the dense fog.
There are seven ferries on this route. Before the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, hundreds of vehicles used to wait for the ferry on the route. But now the traffic pressure has reduced, he said.
The ferry services will be resumed if the fog subsides a little, he added.
