Aricha-Kazirhat ferry services resume after 9.15 hours

The ferry services between Aricha-Kazirhat route were suspended at 1.15 am midnight due to poor visibility.



Ferry services between Aricha-Kazirhat route resumed after 9.15 hours due to dense fog blanketed all the riverbed, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat sources said.

The ferry services between Aricha-Kazirhat route were suspended at 1.15 am midnight due to poor visibility. The ferry Sufia Kamal and Beer Shreshtha Ruhul Amin were waiting at Aricha Ghat loaded with vehicles and passengers, BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager (DGM) Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said, adding that the ferry services resumed Tuesday morning when the dense fog disappeared.

Meanwhile, the ferry services between Paturia-Daulatdia route were suspended from 2.45 am to 4.00 am and from 6 am to 8.45 am
