Derailment halts Dhaka-Mymensingh rail communications

The incident happened around 12:00 pm on Thursday.



Train movement on Dhaka-Mymensingh route has stopped as three coaches of a Mymensingh-bound local train derailed in Piyarpur station of the district sadar.

The incident happened around 12:00 pm on Thursday. However, no one was injured in this incident.

Piyarpur station master Sheikh Uzzal Mahmud confirmed the matter.

A rescue train from Mymensingh is coming to recover the derailed engine from the tracks, the station master added.
