To alleviate the daily struggles of commuters, a new train service between Dhaka and Narayanganj was launched today.

The service was inaugurated by Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Jahidul Islam Miah in a ceremony held at the station.

Following the inauguration, the DC announced that eight pairs of trains would operate daily on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route, with each train consisting of 11 compartments. This arrangement allows for a total capacity of 1,176 passengers per train.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Prottus Kumar Majumder, Divisional Railway Transport Officer Anada Kumar Paul, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central committee member Maulana Moinuddin Ahmed, and Narayanganj city BNP convener Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan.
