Cumilla, Mar 29 – Homebound travelers are enjoying a hassle-free journey on the 105-kilometer stretch of the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Cumilla, with no reports of traffic congestion.
Despite the increased pressure of passenger and goods-laden vehicles, commuters are reaching their destinations smoothly.
To ensure a trouble-free Eid journey local local administration, highway police, and Rover Scouts are working together to assist travelers.
Authorities have identified 12 congestion-prone points along the highway, where executive magistrates are deployed alongside law enforcement agencies to keep traffic moving.
On Saturday morning, multiple highway police teams were stationed to regulate traffic on both Dhaka-bound and Chattogram-bound lanes.
Intelligence surveillance has also been intensified at night to maintain law and order and prevent theft and robbery on the highway.
