JnU Press Club gets new committee

Subarno Assaif of Bangla Tribune and Meherabul Islam Showdip of Dainik Bangla have been elected president and general secretary of Jagannath University (JnU) Press Club respectively.

Subarno Assaif of Bangla Tribune and Meherabul Islam Showdip of Dainik Bangla have been elected president and general secretary of Jagannath University (JnU) Press Club respectively.

Other office bearers of the committee are-- vice-president Mujahid Billah, joint general secretary Yushub Osman, organizing secretary Ahnaf Tahmid Faiyaz, publicity, publication and office secretary Mehedi Hasan and finance secretary Riduanul Islam.

Sheikh Shahriar Hossain and Abu Sufian Sarkar Shubo have become executive members of the committee.

On Thursday, chief election commissioner and also founding president of JnU Press Club Imran Ahmed announced the result in presence of other election commissioners --Hedayet Ullah Khan, Fakhrul Islam and Rakibul Islam.

JnU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Imdadul Haque, treasurer Prof Kamaluddin Ahmed, chief advisor of JnU Press Club Kazi Mobarak Hossain and other senior teachers of the university and former leaders of the press club were also present at that time.

JnU vice-chancellor and treasurer congratulated the new executive body of JnU Press Club and greeted them with flower bouquet.
