A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has been found hanging with a ceiling fan at a dormitory in Sylhet.



A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has been found hanging with a ceiling fan at a dormitory in Sylhet.
The deceased was known as Arif Mia, a student of Social Science department (session 2020-21).
University proctor Kamruzzaman Chowhdury said Arif was suffering from mental illness. Noticing his hanging body  Thursday morning, locals informed the police station.
Confirming the matter, Jalalabadh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam said the body was sent to Osmany Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
