Security guard crashed under van at Demra
A security guard of factory died after being crushed under the wheels of a covered van at the factory’s gate at Demra in the capital early Thursday.
A security guard of factory died after being crushed under the wheels of a covered van at the factory’s gate at Demra in the capital early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 55, son of late Baser Uddin of Ulipur upazila of Kurigram district.
Brother-in-law of the victim Khorshed Alam aid the accident occurred when the van after loading goods from the Zara Packaging and Printing Factory was going outside the factory and crashed Rafiqul, who was stand behind the van, around 3am, leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was declared dead around 4am, Khorshed said.
Inspector Md Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy and informed the concerned police station.
