17-year-old boy stabbed to death in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh

Dhaka, Nov 15 – A 17-year-old boy died on Friday morning after being stabbed by a local teenage gang in front of Hazaribagh Park in Dhaka on Thursday night.

The deceased, identified as Shanto, was the son of Afzal Hossain from Hazaribagh, according to Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost.

Inspector Faruk said that three members of the teenage gang—identified as Emon, Oli, and Shukur—have been detained by Hazaribagh Police in connection with the incident.

Shanto’s family rushed him to the emergency department of DMCH after the attack , where he was admitted around midnight. Despite medical efforts, Shanto succumbed to his injuries at 10:30 am on Friday.

His body has been sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. - UNB
