Kishoreganj, Nov 26 - A couple and their two children were found dead at a house in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Jony Biswas, 32, his wife Nipa Rani Biswas, 26, and their two children—Dhruvo Biswas, 7, and Kotha Biswas, 5, years Raipura upazila in Narsingdi district.

Md Shahin, inspector of Bhairab Police Station, said the couple used to live at a house in Ranir Bazar of the Bhairab municipality area.

Being informed by local people, police recovered the hanging body of Jony and throat-slit body of Nipa from the house.

The two children might have been strangled to death, said police.

However, police are trying to unearth the motives behind the deaths of a family.

The bodies were taken to Kishoreganj Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy. - UNB
