Two Killed by Electrocution in Pabna

Two people, including a woman, died from electrocution while charging a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Aynul Matabbar, 45, a three-wheeler driver and son of Fazal Matabbar from Hatatpara under Pakshi union, and Fatema Begum, 36, wife of Dulal Mia from MS Colony in the same area.

According to Shakhiul Azam, inspector at the Pakshi police outpost, the incident occurred around 9pm at Building No. 9 in the MS Colony. Aynul was electrocuted while connecting his vehicle to an electric socket, reports UNB.

Fatema rushed to help upon witnessing the incident but was also electrocuted. Both died on the spot, the inspector said.
