Two minor boys drown in Gaibandha

Two minor boys tragically drowned while playing in a canal at Palashbari upazila of the district this noon.


The deceased were identified as Abid, son of Shafiqul Islam, a resident of Boirihorinmari village of the upazila and Labib, son of Abdul Aziz of the same village.

The boys were playing on a makeshift raft in the canal when they accidentally fell into the water and drowned.

Family members later recovered their bodies, which were found floating in the canal.

Officer-in-Charge of Palashbari Police Station Zulfikar Ali Bhutto confirmed the incident, reports BSS.
