Twin sisters drown in Sherpur

Ten -years-old twin sisters drowned in a beel  near their house at Char Namapara village under Lachmanpur union in Sadar upazila this afternoon.


The deceased were - Nila and Shila, daughters of Abdus Salam, a resident of the village.

Nila and Shila went to the beel with some other friends for taking bath around 4 pm and drowned in the water body.

Locals rescued them and took them to Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared them dead, reports BSS.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Sadar Police Station Md. Zubaidul Alam confirmed the matter.
