Two students go missing in Padma

Two madrasha students went missing while bathing in the Padma river in Lalpur upazila of the district today.


They were identified as Farid Islam, 14, son of Saiful Islam of Naopara village of the upazila and Golam Rabbani, 14, son of Robin of Darilla village in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh district.

They went missing in the river around 12.30 pm while they were taking bath with other students of Naopara Hafezi Madrasa in Durduria union of the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mominuzzaman said that rescue operation is going on in presence of police and fire service teams, reports BSS.
