Two siblings drown in Brahmanbaria

Two siblings drowned in a pond adjacent to their house in Bogdahar village under Nabinagar Purba Union of Nabinagar Upazila in the district this afternoon.


The deceased were identified as Tisha, 7, and Arian, 6, children of Jalal Mian of the same village.

Citing the family, local Union Parishad member Mofizur Rahman said the siblings were playing at their house but went missing. Later, a villager spotted their bodies while bathing in the pond, reports BSS. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nabinagar Police Station Shahinur Islam said a team was sent to the spot and legal proceedings are underway.
