Jamuna water flowing at 54cm above danger level

The water level of Jamuna river is flowing at 54cm at Kajipur point and 49cm at Sirajganj point above the danger level.



The water of Jamuna river is increasing rapidly in Sirajganj due to heavy rainfall and onrush of upstream. The water level of Jamuna river is flowing at 54cm at Kajipur point and 49cm at Sirajganj point above the danger level.
The water of Jamuna is flowing at 54cm at Kajipur Meghai ghat point after its water is increased by 6cm while the water of Jamuna is flowing at 49cm at Sirajganj point after its water is increased by 10cm in last 12 hours, confirmed Shafikul Islam, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board in Sirajganj on Tuesday (June 21) morning.
Due to the rise in the water level of Jamuna river, houses and educational institutions of low-lying areas and crop lands of char areas have been inundated.
