Incessant rainfall has caused water logging in Kalapara town

Patuakhali: The clear low pressure located in the north-west Bay of Bengal and the adjacent coastal areas has condensed and turned into a monsoon depression in the southwestern part of the country-West Bengal coast and the adjacent northwest Bay of Bengal. Due to this, continuous torrential rains have started in various places on the Kalapara coast of Patuakhali from 8 am on Monday. Low-income laborers have suffered greatly due to the continuous rain.

Meanwhile, the Bay of Bengal adjacent to Kuakata is turbulent. Furious waves are crashing on the seashore. Due to the influence of the monsoon depression, stormy winds can blow over the coastal areas at any time. Local warning signal number 03 has been raised at Payra, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla seaports in Patuakhali. All fishing trawlers have been asked to operate with caution near the coast. - Gofran Palash
