Temperature may rise slightly in next 24 hrs: BMD



Dhaka, June 08 - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that the day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country in the next 24 hours starting from 6pm today.

Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna and Barishal divisions and the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna and Madaripur and it may continue,  BMD said in its regular bulletin this evening.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur, Dhaka and  Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, added the bulletin.

Due to excessive moisture content, the discomfort may persist.

The trough of low lies over West Bengal to Northwest Bay.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.-UNB
